Our history
- This is how it all began
For many years, Villa Humlebæk was the summer residence of a coffee wholesaler from Copenhagen.
He sold coffee from the weather porch to other summer residents and locals.
In 2006, we bought the property, which has undergone continuous refurbishment from summerhouse to permanent residence. In 2009, we opened a small shop and coffeehouse. Here, we sold quality and luxury goods like coffee, tea, chocolate, ice cream and other specialties.
We’ve always dreamed of running a hotel, and in 2015 we decided to reorganise and opened our first guest room. Today, we live in the main house and run Villa Humlebæk B&B together as a family. With our backgrounds within the restaurant and hotel business, not to mention bakery, we feel certain we have made the right decision.

We love travelling and staying at unique places both abroad and in Denmark, summer and winter.
When we have been travelling, we bring all the best experiences, trends and inspiration home to Villa Humlebæk and make them our own.
Our dream is for our guests to find exactly what they needed whenever they stay with us. Whether it is calm and quiet, relaxation on a summer day. Or winter bathing and museum visits in the cozy winter months. We are open all year round. And we hope our guests take a little bite of Villa Humlebæk B&B home with them – to make the experience last a little longer.
We are happy that so many of our guests return to stay with us again. And we look foreard to welcoming new guests as well.
